Connecticut homeowners replacing or properly integrating an existing oil, propane, natural-gas or electric-resistance heating system may qualify for an Energize Connecticut Energy Optimization incentive of $1,500 per ton. A qualifying 5-ton heat-pump system may receive up to $7,500 through Energize Connecticut. Qualifying cold-climate equipment may also receive a $650 instant incentive through the New England Heat Pump Accelerator, bringing the available savings on a qualifying 5-ton system with one eligible outdoor unit to as much as $8,150. Celco will review the homeowner’s existing heating system, proposed equipment and utility eligibility before installation. Final incentive amounts are determined by program rules and approval and are subject to change.
